	Mystery Shopping - some scores are surprisingly low.	And that's with a prettygood team, too.

	In some branches, there’s a lot of rushing around, but in others the pace is much easier.	Some managers work daft hours.

	Salary budgeting for our branches is a very simple process, (simple can sometimes be simplistic!)	We use a % adjustment to last year's spend. We budget in line with sales / profit. We just discuss & agree it. I tell them what they can spend!

	Salary budgeting is complicated.	We have this model and not everyone really understands it It takes ages to complete the process. We seem to have lots of people working on it.

	Mixed buy-in. Some grief when salary budgets are issued to the branches.	We get no complaints at all ( this could be worse than mixed -buy-in!)

	Some branches overspend significantly.	Others actually underspend.

	Actual salary reporting could be better.	We don't know what we have spent on salaries until month / quarter / year end or P & L The figures are disputed.
