Artwork & Design FAQ

If you decide to order your Artwork & Design from me, you can be sure you'll be getting an excellent value for money service.

I don't offer a 'design on line' service or templates, instead I concentrate on providing artwork and design to match your own unique requirements.

And in case you're worried that the cost of Artwork and Design might spiral out of control - you don't have to be, the price will be etablished from the start

So how does it work?

1. You send me your original source materials (your text, images, photographs and competitors leaflets/brochures/advertising materials etc.)

  • I can source images for you or you can provide your own digital images on disk (either scanned or taken using a digital camera). When supplying your own images/photos, you should scan them at 300 - 350dpi or take photographs at the cameras highest resolution, to ensure the best possible quality.
  • Original photographs and other items to scan should be as good a quality as possible and ideally not creased/folded or written on (although I can usually repair any defects ).

In order to create a piece of artwork & design, it often helps if I understand your marketplace.

You can help me with this by providing copies of your competitors' brochures/advertising material (don't worry, I won't copy them or infringe any copyrights), examples of what you like (and don't like) and anything else you think might be helpful.

2. You send me your Artwork Brief

To be able to produce something that will match your requirements, I first need to know what they are! We call this the Artwork Brief.

I can work from a fairly loose brief, but the more information you provide, the better the Artwork & Design will be and it will be completed sooner.

What to include in your Artwork Brief:

  • What you like/dislike (e.g. colours, styles etc.)
  • What you want to say
  • Who your target audience are (e.g. the types of consumers or companies you want to send your marketing literature to)
  • What your overall aim for the artwork/printed piece is. (e.g. to sell a particular product, to get people to respond in some way, to drive people to your website, to raise the profile of an event or your company etc.)

3. I create the Artwork & Design

Once I have all the information I need, I'll try to create from what you provide into something I hope you'll love right away. But if there is anything that you don't like, I'll work hard to correct it before submitting a new design.
