City Must Swat The Hornets.
When you think that Sir Elton John CBE. the Watford Chairman is one of the richest people in the UK, he hasn't exactly thrown money at the Watford FC set up. In fact he's been throwing it around like a Scotsman with no arms, which is probably the reason why he 's so wealthy, that, and he's not married of course. See how he'd cope with a couple of kids and a mortgage, and a clapped out Mondeo to run, that'd slow him down a bit. I don't want to go on about Sir Elton, but if he's so flipping rich how come he wears one of the worst syrup and figs I've ever seen? He's bald so he probably thinks it's not worth spending a lot on a hairdo, which is probably what he thinks about Watford FC, they're a bit lacking so why waste money on them? He's bald, so why not shave his head.........naaah he'd look silly wouldn't he? Watford FC is rather like wig to Sir Elton, if you see what I mean.
Seriously though it's good to see Graham Taylor back in the big time, I always thought he was a decent bloke. My wife once went on a football coaching course that he took back in the 70's............yeeeeesss well we won't dwell on her knowledge of the beautiful game. All I'm saying is that there was a famous occasion when we were choosing some wallpaper for the kitchen. I pointed out the one I liked and she shouted 'Do I not like Orange?.' so who was teaching whom you might wonder.
I'm waffling aren't I because it's difficult to know what to write about Watford, except you can now imagine how some teams must feel when they play us. If they win it's expected and if they lose it's points thrown away. You can't win really but 3 points would do very nicely thank you, we really are in need of them. Desperately.
Watford of course were promoted
via the play offs and as you know such teams go straight back
down again,ha ha.
They've got no star players but watch it or they'll sting you
very painfully as Liverpool found out the other week, they also
beat automatically promoted Bradford in their last match.
Watford were once identified as a team who just lumped the ball
upfield and a cavalry charge chased it, it must have worked to
some degree I suppose.
We'd better watch out or
we'll end up being laughed at. This is an occasion for us to show
our supremacy and at the very least maintain our unbeaten home
record this season. Don't forget lads this one is on the telly
- Sky that is, so put up a good show and score plenty of goals.
