F.A. Cup 3rd. Round Replay.

Leicester City v Hereford Utd. 7.45pm. Wed. 22nd. December, 1999.

Peter Gilbert 21.12.99

Act IV Scene II

Usually December 21st is the darkest day of the year but due to Leap Years and things this year, the darkest day is on Dec 22nd which is the date of the EGM and when we play Hereford.....again.

It is also said that 'The darkest hour is just before the dawn.'    Well 22.12.99 could be our darkest hour in some ways but the future ahead is now looking bright with the Go4 acting like rats on their own sinking ship and three of them choosing to jump before they hit the rocks.    They did try one last desperate coup in an attempt to survive but the failed, and now their cause is doomed as they only managed to gain 2% of the shareholders' votes.
This darkest hour then heralds a brand new dawn for LCFC and we'll see it begin to unfold when we play Hereford tonight.
MON and his players have done wonderfully well to retain their momentum giving us our best ever start in The Premiership.  It was also gracious of them to give financial strugglers Hereford Utd a replay which should be a formality for our penultimate home match of this millennium.
An historic day for Leicester City fans everywhere which should see us mark it with a smooth. victory as the team can now begin to play 'without' the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Watch out for a midfield player on their side called Parry.....he can run at defenders with the ball and gave us plenty of cause for concern at their place.
Sign him on?
