Match Preview Leicester City v Chelsea
FA.Cup R.5
30.1.00
Peter Gilbert 27.1.00
I'm getting fed up with this. We
keep playing the same few teams over and over again and what's
more, the result is always the same; we always beat them on penalties........
it's so predictable. It's not us that's boring it's them.........I
just wish they'd make a game of it but they don't, they just
play hit and hope type football and expect us to fall for it
and give them a goal. Mind you, when we do
give them a goal or two start they're not capable of hanging
on to it, we draw level, they might score again but we draw level
again and then they complain about penalties which they inevitably
lose. Wake up everyone and give us a decent game of football;give
us something to go at, give us something to try and beat....it's
so boring.
Over the last few weeks we've played Hereford twice and beaten
them on penalties. We've played Fulham and beaten them on penalties.
We've played Arsenal twice and beaten them on penalties. We've
played Villa at their place and they failed to score. We
play them again next week, why I don't know - we know it'll
go to penalties and we'll beat them. We played Chelsea in the
league and they scraped a lucky draw out of us. It's sickening........come
on give us something to go at. We've now got to play them
again in the FA Cup and I just hope that this time unlike all
the other dross we've played recently that they'll make a bit
of a go of it and take us to the limit.
So it's Chelsea away on Sunday........what can you say? Say nothing
- just hope that they're up to it. Up to meeting the mighty Leicester
City. Up to the nerve jangling 90+ minutes it takes to be got
rid of.
But this time, I just hope that their manager is man enough to
admit he was beaten by a better team and I would like to emphasise
the word TEAM.
Looking forward to another afternoon on the bridge.......I expect
a battle.....but it's all part of a war.
We have injury problems but you can be sure that whoever runs
out with a fox on his heart will do the biz for us.
Up the City!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did You Know?
1. Chelsea have been in five FA Cup Finals winning only twice;
in 1970 and 1997.
They obviously need a seven in the year to be successful; hmmm
it doesn't look good does it lads? Perhaps 2007 will be a better
year.
