VISITORS' BOOK.

From Tim Airey

I was living back in Leicester 73-75 after previously emigrating to Canada
in 1966. I was fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the great City team of
that period. I am now back in Calgary, Alberta and run a Leicester expats'
website called "Leicester Overseas." Please visit at
http://www.leicesteroverseas.com especially if you are an expat. There is,
amongst many other things of interest, a picture of the railway engine named
"Leicester City," and also an expanded, coloured picture of the actual
nameplate.

The Derby fans were very happy. They had just exerted their biggest win over us for 22 years, were now 5 points above Bradford and only 1 point behind Wimbledon but their huge areas of empty seats and lack lustre singing are significant factors in their true state of health and they are still fourth from bottom. For a team that cannot sell out an 18,000 seater stadium this satement seems a little strange. You didnt even sell out your allocation. Long trip was it As for The Blue Army - we pledged that we would 'sing our hearts out for the lads' and we all agreed we had just spent the worst Mothering Sunday imaginable. Get well soon Stan our thoughts are with you. You pay for him while he lies in bed for two months. We are the biggest. You are shit. Your fans are shit. Your manager will be off before you kick a ball in Europe. And isnt a 30,000 seater staium going to look alittle funny with 17,000 in it?

From Mitch Ottawa Canada.

Hi Peter, just logged onto your site to find out the awful news that Emile Heskey has gone to Liverpool! after reading last weeks fantastic result with Sunderland and the thought of more to come from a Heskey/Collymore partnership which has been a long time coming, i'm gutted!! i agree with you, where do you get an equal replacement? and i'm totally pissed off with the money factor! i question the career move bullshit! oh well, back to the hockey on t.v. and then down the road to play some indoor football and work of some frustration! Just when you think your taking 2 steps forward, we take 3 steps back...good old Leicester!!

Eat your heart out Villains. Where is the "vilification" now. I fear you are a little club with little minds and little chance. You and your former manager deserve each other. I could get to like Stan Collymore warts and all if he keeps on popping it in where it matters!

Can't hear many messages of condolence from supporters of clubs from the back streets of Brum. I would have expected one or two now that SVC has exposed MO'N's lack of judgement, and has destroyed what little bit of team spirit we ever had. Fancy showing us up like that scoring a hat trick against a Top Team. I suppose they are too wrapped in sack cloth and ashes after a miserable draw at home against the Bumsandsomes Lack'a'day

Sir Stanley was a one off. A true genius. A player of unbelievable skill, close control of the ball, balance, body swerve and stupendous acceleration over one yard from zero to full tilt so amazingly quickly that the crowds drew breath and the opponent stood as if tranfixed. A truely great artist. Not a showman or a showboater or a show off, everything he did had purpose. A match winner without equal. And on so many occasions at international level he was not picked. Not right for the team. "Doesn't fit in with our style of play" I can remember Walter Winterbottom's words. Our nation doesn't seem to understand or appreciate true genius and often our teams don't seem to play to a style that reflects the strengths of our players. I think herin perhaps lies the measure of M O'Neill's skill. I believe that he does allow players to express themselves and to encourage the one to cover for the weakness of the other I was lucky enough to see Sir Stan play in the flesh and treasure the memory. I also saw Duncan Edwards and Georgy Best. You cannot make a realistic comparison. but I have no doubt who was the best controller of a football. Number one in the country and number one in the world

Ha ha ha ha ha!!! You fools! Just had to point out to you that Collymore will damage you severely. The only thing he's good for is destroying team spirit - and let's face it, that's all you lot have got!    There ain't any skill in your side, and Stan won't change that.          Never mind, eh? We couldn't have sent him to a more deserving team. Enjoy!

We humbled the Gooners with a fighting display. The "bums and somes" were no match when it came to fighting spirit, determination and team spirit. Even so we still had to play the referee as well. I counted eight wrong decisions that went against city compared with two against the bums. That was the best performance from Emile for many a match in my view but it would be unfair to single out an individual. Roll on Chelsea. Perhaps we can break the poor run of results against the cheats on their own turf and improve on the league draw. If team spirit counts for anything we deserve to go all the way this year.

Peter,
In 1975 I saw Leicester play Arsenal at Highbury. It
ended 0-0 and the replay at Filbert St ended 1-1 after extra
time. Another replay at Filbert St saw Arsenal win 1-0 after
extra time again. Living in London at the time I travelled
with those Gunner supporters twice, on the train to Filbert
St and had to even sit with them.
After 25 years how sweet the victory. I was able to
see the game live on tv here in Australia. I was dancing
in my loungeroom when Arphexad saved Grimandi's penalty. I
also thought of you and all the Leicester supporters at
Filbert St. Wish I could have been there.
Bring on Chelsea.

The abysmal performance by that joke of a referee Old Mother Riley and her bunch of assistants should be the subject of an official complaint. If I was a Shareholding,Season ticket holding, articulate young man with the ear of MO'N I would certainlty have it raised in official circles. His treatment of Emile Heskey who was "sandwiched" and then penalised for falling over was without doubt the most cynical reaction from a so called unbiased Official that I have seen in many many years. His sending off of young Mr Eadie was quite beyond the pale. He should be stripped of his badge and whistle at the very least.

An excellent unbiased report on the Newcastle match I thought.   Friends who went said that we appeared to play 9 fit men one wounded soldier and a boy against thirteen.   Your comments re 7th position and still in two of the most prestigious cup competitions are more than apt and a tribute to the spirit engendered by MO'N.   I do sometimes question the management of resources and I also wonder what has happened to Rob Ullathorne.   Perhaps some one with a season ticket and shares could make a polite enquiry and let the rest of us know.

You are at it again. You appear a tad biased and too complimentary towards the Toon army. As I've said before I know that as a comentator as well as a Leicester fan you have to be professional in your approach and this should not be viewed as a criticism - just a gentle reminder that we Foxes would like to see you draw blood now and again.  Keep at it, but try to see things through our eyes now and again.

I thought your report on the Leeds match was perhaps a little too enthusiastic about the Leeds performance.   I know it must be difficult to be as unbiased as you usually are so this is not a criticism - just a comment which may like to think on.  Keep up the good work

The game is a sell out, 8,855 more than when we played Spurs, and there are less away fans, only 2,200 from Leicester. My prediction is 2-1 to Hereford, a late winner from none other than LE ROY MAY!!!   Good luck in the premiership. See you.   COME ON YOU WHITES. PS. I thought the site was very good. I am new to English Football. I have recently moved to the Midlands from Sweden and have not heard about this team, Leicester City. I have heard about Nottingham Forest, as they are more of a household name in Europe, with 2 European Cup titles to their name and a worldfamous and unforgettable manager, Brian Clough.. I will look out for this team they call Leicester City.

Hello Peter, just like to say how much i like the web site you put together especially your 'totally unbiased match reports' which I really enjoyed reading throughout last season,it sometimes made me feel and wish I was there especially on a -35 night in 5ft of snow in the middle of an Ottawa, Canada winter!!
What ever happened to the guy who put together the MPEG's of the Goals last season? I thought that was great and loaded them on my my terminal at work as a screensaver so when things got boring i could sit and watch over and over! I guess you could'nt take that idea over?? It's really good to see City put a string of results together let;s hope they can continue and not sit back and drop silly points against the average teams like last year, it seems that they have matured together as a unit at last .....well let's hope!!

Cheers! Mitch Sidwell.

Peter,
Thank you for your report on the Bradford match. It was a thoughly entertaining piece of journalism.

It was a pity about the result , but I ( like everyone else ) , have a
soft spot for Bradford. I look forward to your preview of the Man U game next week.
