This game should have been over by half time, chances were not taken and so it wasn't. Fortunately the referee realised this and just kept playing on until we did score.

We started crisply, with Marshall and Cottee up front and Heskey given a free role to run at people mainly down the right hand side. It worked it was very effective and when you add Guppy to this little cocktail who's crossing and shooting is second to none it's going to be pretty lethal really, and it was. The only thing lacking was putting the ball into the back of the net, chances fell to Cottee and Marshall but they were not taken and Coventry began to look as if they might wriggle off the hook. As Steve Guppy,a dedicated fisherman, will tell you ;the longer you play a fish the more chance it has of getting away really. But Guppy had other ideas, and so when Leicester won a corner deep into added time at the end of the first half he rushed over to take it. He cast his bait perfectly and Marshall rose unchallenged to head the ball into the net. Justice was done, we had our goal.

The second half saw the sun come out and it turned into a nice warm afternoon which Coventry rarely threatened to ruin,Keller having to make only one real save. We couldn't complain at the entertainment set before us, we won, we played well..... admittedly another couple of goals would have been nice but they didn't really matter.

This Leicester side has now not lost a league match in nine outings and they go at the opposition with no regard for status or reputation. A top ten finish would be no more than we deserve and the future looks bright again.
