Neil Lennon Stays.
Neil Lennon has today dashed the hopes
of his old boss Martin O'Neill who had hoped to lure the midfielder
to Celtic. Under his new terms with Leicester City, it is reported
that Lennon's weekly pay has been uplifted by new boss Peter
Taylor to £30,000. The Irish International has recently
been sorely tempted to join Celtic, his boyhood heroes, but their
overtures came to nought when they failed to meet the asking
price of £8 million. Lennon is reported as saying that
after giving the matter much thought, he has decided that he
will be quite happy to continue with City under Peter Taylor
for whom he already has great respect. We can now look forward
to the continuation of Neil Lennon's match winning efforts in
midfield supported by the old firm and the new, as yet unproven
arrivals.
