10 Things to know about Manchester United FC

Manchester United think they belong on top of the league, but they don’t, we are there through merit.

Man Utd started life in 1878 as Newton Heath Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Cricket and Football Club.

I’ll never forget the goal Ian Marshall scored against them at Filbert Street.

We’re their ‘bogey’ team, they’re really worried about this fixture, I have it on good authority.

They’ve won some trophies admittedly.

They have some flash players, but last year they won nothing…..relatively speaking.

Sir Alex Ferguson is the only knighted manager (or player) ever in British football, others were knighted after they’d finished.

They beat F****t 8-1 in 1998…..ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

They’ve never won The Worthington Cup.

They are to football what Disneyland is to USA.

Who’s have thought it?  When the fixture list came out I always look when we play Man Utd at home, but who would have thought that we would be playing them in mid October for the right to go 4 points clear at the top of The Premiership?

I’m not going to go on about their team……..suffice to say….whoever takes to the field will be well drilled, fit and fully conversant with the Man Utd philosophy  which as well as being able to play football also includes being able to whinge and whine like a good ‘un if things go against them.  They demand penalties, they seriously intimidate officials, they spit, they curse they all have a siege mentality which is constantly telling them ‘No-one likes us’ which is very unifying and motivational.

Never mind all this……Come on City this is the big one………let’s beat them outa sight and stay top…that really would set the tongues wagging.
