10.Things to know about Everton

Formed in 1878 as St Domingo FC as a Sunday School, the club changed it's name to Everton just one year later.
Founder members of football league in 1888.
They've won the league title 9 times.
Won the FA Cup t times.
They've never won the League Cup……..we have 3 times….so there.
They've played in Europe in 11 seasons and won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.
They are dodgy. We're better than them so beware…….they could be a banana skin.
Everton is a toffee - which came first and why?
Ex player Dixie Dean set a league record in 1927-28 season; he scored 60 goals!! He also holds the record for the most goals scored for one club with 349 for The Toffees. He scored 37 hat tricks in his career. That's a lot of match balls.
At least we know when and where we are playing them!!!!!!!!!!!

US.
Leicester fans the world over can't wait for 'the next game' these days, we're up there on cloud 9 although the pundits said we'd come a cropper at Chelsea……..but we didn't. Now we need to hold the ship steady for another couple of matches so that we can have a real top of the table clash against Man Utd. But enough of this, you know what they say; one game at a time.
Let's not get carried away in any direction, it is not beyond us to be up there, you reap what you sow. Then again we mustn't get complacent or too swanky since 'the bigger they come the harder they fall'. Sunderland were doing this sort of thing last season and now look at them.
So everybody, let's concentrate on this game and this game only and then the points and positions will look after themselves. All I can say is that we must maintain our style and shape and we should run out with all three points. Not difficult.

Leicester's Last Match .. Player Analysis

Flowers: He just keeps on turning in wonderful performances, as he did at Chelsea.
Rowett: He's becoming more significant with every passing game..
Elliott: No nonsense, quick feet, a sense of purpose - a great captain.
Gilchrist: Fitted in as if he played there every week.
Impey: Showed resilience and intelligence.
Savage: Great stuff.
Izzett: Played a great game, took his goal well and gave Wise a shake down.
Lennon: Fitness clearly returning. Then we'll see a big improvement in the team as a whole.
Akinbiyi: Appears lonely, doesn't quite hit it off yet.
Eadie: He continues to terrify defences with his speed, trickery and direct play.
Guppy: Played with great intelligence throughout.

Subs:
Collymore:
Came off the bench and made the difference, great goal, great link up play.
Cresswell: A willing runner, can class be learned or is it an inherent quality? He lacks a bit of class but he's willing, gritty and tough.

The Team I'd Pick to Start The Next Game.

Flowers

Rowett Elliott Taggart

Savage Izzett Lennon Guppy

Collymore Eadie

Akinbiyi
Subs
Royce. Impey. Sinclair. Cresswell. Gilchrist.

The quality of a good team is shown when they can consistently beat lesser opposition.
