Match Preview. Leicester City v Bradford City. Saturday 22nd October. 199

A Tasty Bantam for The Foxes.

Peter Gilbert 22.10.99

Just a quick preview:
Bradford away is a chance for us to assert our domination over new boys and to consolidate on our rich vein of form we are experiencing at the moment.   It could all come crashing down around our ears or we could pounce on another valuable three points.
Without being cruel ,  their team is a bunch of 'has beens and no hopers'.   Their manager Paul Jewell at only 34 is alarmingly inexperienced at any level, but he did make it into the Premiership in his first full season as a manager.
They must have something though as they cruised into the second promotion spot last season to make it into the top flight for the first time in 77 years.   Whatever it was they had seems to have deserted them this season and they are finding it very difficult to score goals with only 5 to their credit as yet.  They appear to be quite hard to break down and have conceded the majority of their goals in the last 10 mins. of the game.
Many a football fan however has a soft spot for them after an horrific fire burned their stadium down in the mid 80's.   Their fans are 'real' fans and their fanzine THe City Gent is reputedly the oldest of all and was first published in October 1984.
Normally I would wish them all the best and hope that their poor run comes to an end but not this week.

Forecast: Leicester to win by two clear goals.
