
Resealing the Roof Vents
Well after 23 years sitting in the wonderful British weather the roof vent started to show signs of leaking in.
It was time to remove it and reseal it.
This how I went about it
As you can see the screws holding the vent in place were pretty rusted from years of rain exposure.
So the first job was to get them off using a pair of maul grips.

After some cursing I managed to get the screws out and cleaned up the area

The roof was showing signs of rot in one corner which was probably the cause of the leak

Here's the vent refitted using Sikaflex 221 and 5mm panhead screws
