SOUTHERN COUNTIES 2007
DOGS I was pleased with the quality of the entry, and have
little to comment on.I had one or two level bites, and a few with rather loose
long toes Otherwise all the dogs were as usual sweet tempered and well
presented. My thanks to my excellent stewards John and Colin who helped me
complete in good time
MP1. Magee’s Kirkavagh Tolomeo at Johnromac. Very good substance for age. Great
depth of chest ,sweet head and expression. Very promising. 2. Richardson’s
Kirkavagh The Minstrel. Moved very steadily. Well grown, good conformation and
style. Close up to one.
pD 1. Perrin’s Danaway Byron Best Dog Puppy.Very pleasing boy, well grown withj
deep chest, and good ribs.Overall good balance with excellent line and lovely
head 2. Bain’s Covarney Sweet William by Scotslaw. Attractive boy with very nice
coat, good substance, good neck and shoulders. Should do well 3. Lawrence’s
McConkeys Killwillie
J1. Prangle’s Heathclare a Chance of Magic.. Really lovely dog, just twelve
moths and mature for age. Super coat and beautiful head. Very good overall
conformation, moved very well, well handled. One to watch 2. Waddell’s Riqitta
Dylan Thomas Good mover, with pleasing head and soft expression. Good lay of
shoulders and good substance. 3. Cohen’s Caispern Villette with Shushana.
Y1. Cuddy’s Balbriggans Royal Rebel. Excellent powerful mover, in good muscular
condition. Very much a setter with good coat and substance. Now coming to his
best. Has a good future. 2. Richardson’s Kirkavagh Dalakhani . Lovely balanced
conformation, good neck and shoulders. Pleasing outline. Moved well with drive.

G1.Willis’ Danaway the Lionheart JW. What a beauty. Moved so smoothly he was a
pleasure to watch. Everything in balance, conformation is superb, with such a
lovely head. Seriously considered him for the CC, but his time will come. 2.
Stockton’s Kespas Infrared. Another lovely boy in good coat, rich colour. Nice
deep chest and good shoulders and quarters 3. Richardson’s Kirkavagh Dalakhani
PG1. Lawrence’s Sametsuz up to Mischief via McConkeys. Striking dog in beautiful
full coat. Very pleasing conformation, good size, good substance. Moved with
purpose 2. Frampton’s The Pearl Fisher of Strathmead. I loved this dog as a
puppy and he still has great appeal. Clean pleasing lines, lovely head,
everything in balance. Not yet fully mature but will do really well later. 3.
Gurney’s Danaway Michaelangelo
L1.Fauvrelle’s Shaytell Andante, CC and BOB. Beautifully presented and handled
he was a real eyecatcher. He powered around the ring, a pleasure to watch.
Lovely conformation and real setter type. I was delighted to give hime his third
CC 2. Bott and Morgarn’s Ember Gene Simmons sings Quensha (Imp) Reserve CC.
Unlucky today to meet the winner in such good form. As usual from this owner,
presented in immaculate condition, beautifully trained to show his best. Not a
big dog, he is still nicely balanced and excellently conformed. 3 Lewis
Dotcomsetter Damas
O 1. McDonagh’s Ronzalda Don Magnifico JW. Very good coat, good substance, with
good neck, shoulders and chest. Moved well. 2 Sheridan’s NZ Ch Fieldworthy
Stride. Clean lines, lovely head and everything in balance. Not yet fully
mature, but should do well as he develops. Young for Open class.
Vet 1. Graydon’s Eringold Connlaoi. Striking dog in excellent coat with very
good shoulders, correct top line, deep chest and good overall balance. 2.
McCauley’s Erilynne Andre of Stylersetts Strong quarters which produced driving
movement. Well balanced looking great as a veteran 3. Torpy’ Danaway Adventurer
