MPD (5) 1 Wood and Curring’s Reddins Ethan of Lymish. A most promising baby, almost eight months with super quality and excellent outline. Beautiful head and eye. Excellent balanced angulation and super free movement for one so young. 2 McLarnon’s Northamber Just Cause for Glenanva. A bigger made dog, a month older and the more mature. Preferred head of first but he is a lovely dog and most promising with a super outline in profile both standing and moving. 3 Myers’ Riverbrue Xanthus by Astrazone.

PD (7,) 1 Magee’s Kirkavagh Tolomeo at Jonromac. A very nice, most promising 10 months old and very well developed for his age. He has a beautiful classic head with good eye and expression. Excellent front and shoulders. Good depth of body, well balanced angulation and free easy movement. Best Puppy Dog 2 Wood and Curring’s Reddins Ethan of Lymish. 3 McLarnon’s Northamber Just Cause for Glenanva.

JD (15,3) 1 Willis’ Jacwilins Willoughby. At thirteen months old he has super quality and excellent outline both standing and moving. Beautiful head, eye and expression. Most pleasing bone, legs and feet and a good front. Strong through the loin and good hind quarters giving very good ground covering movement. 2 Holehan and North’s Erinade Starwars. A beautiful, well furnished dog of seventeen months of excellent breed type, with well proportioned head, good front and feet. Pleasing depth of body and well balanced angulation front and rear. Mostly settled in movement and finished by super coat and feathering, gleaming with condition. 3 Buchan’s Loskeran Jitterbug

YD (13,1) 1 Holehan and North’s Erinade Starwars. After being second in the previous class he showed and moved out so well in this class and well deserved this win which I understand completes his Junior Warrant. Well done! 2 Lauwer’s Jonola Dr Doolittle. An upstanding dog of excellent breed type, 22 months old, full of quality with an excellent balanced outline, fully feathered and just at the right stage of development for his age. Just preferred the front of the first on the day but he presents an excellent outline on the move and strides out so freely around the ring. 3 Richardson’s Kirkavagh Dala Khani.

MD (11,4) 1 McLarnon’s Northamber Just Cause for Glenanva. 2 Callister’s Redclyst Cu Roi at Redleven. A most pleasing breed type, 16 months old and maturing along the right lines. Standing he had a good balanced outline. He was quite a handful at times but when settled he had good movement with a pleasing outline. 3 Harris and Roberts’ Colanme the One and Only AP Maedffynnon.

ND (17) 1 Willis’ Jacwilins Willoughby. 2 Buchan’s Loskeran Jitterbug. An upstanding fourteen months old dog of good breed type. Most pleasing head, eye and expression. Excellent outline standing and on the move complemented by good feathering. 3 Thoburn’s Tatterless Tresbien avec Northridge.

Deb D (12,5) 1 Richardson’s Kirkavagh Dala Khani. Most pleasing breed type, third in Yearling and well feathered. Excellent head, eye and expression. Good legs, front and feet. Super free outline on the move with good ground cover. 2 Callister’s Redclyst Cu Roi at Redleven. 3 Greenan’s Anlory Montepulciano at Juleset.

GD (13,3) 1 Willis’ Danaway the Lionheart. A beautiful dog, just on two years and of excellent breed type with a super outline both standing and on the move. Full of quality with just enough feathering to enhance. Excellent legs and feet, strong through the loin and hind quarters giving good ground covering movement. 2 Holehan and North’s Erinade Starwars. 3 Roffey and Evans’ Danaway Lancelot. PGD (15,2) Not a particularly good class overall.

1 Lake’s Caskeys Checkmate. Three years old of excellent breed type, super outline and quality. Beautiful head of correct proportions. Excellent body, good angulation and strong hind quarters giving sound free movement. 2 Greenan’s Anlory Quantus of Juleset. JW A Mature four year old, upstanding dog with the loveliest head, eye and expression. Good bone and feet. Very sound in movement and had a good outline in profile. 3 Williamson’s Corriecas Oscar with Kirwilldale.

Mid LD (9) 1 Willett’s Caspians Disraeli. JW. A super dog of excellent breed type, now five years old and fully matured carrying a profuse coat. Beautiful head, eye and expression, deep body, strong loin, well angulated hind quarters. Excellent free flowing movement. A picture going round the ring. 2 Tovey;s Brabrook Red Shadow Sh CM. Slightly younger dog of most pleasing breed type. Excellent head, eye and expression. A little longer in loin than first and more rangy but good overall free flowing sound movement 3 Davie’s Lochfrae Ralph Lauren.

LD (11,3) 1 Bott and Morgan’s Ember Gene Simmons Sings Quensha. Not a big one but super breed type and excellent outline. At four years he is well matured with a beautiful classic head, good eye and expression. Excellent deep, well ribbed body, excellent strength in loin and hind quarters giving free, sound movement. Glowing with condition enhanced by good feathering and a picture going round the ring. He was Reserve Best Dog and was awarded the Reserve Dog CC. 2 Swainston’s Glenvarna Sungod JW. A three years old rather more rangy than first but an excellent breed type with the loveliest head and a good outline. Just failed in front to first but presented a good profile both standing and moving. 3 Cook’s Waterdown Hardy with Kimbru.

OD (9) 1 Lauwer’s Sumaric Shadow of Mr Jingles. What a super dog! Just three years old and coming up to maturity with quality oozing from him, his coat gleaming with condition, enhanced by enough feathering to complete the picture of a beautiful Irish Setter Dog. He has the most beautiful head with a dark eye giving a soft kind expression, excellent balanced angulation both front and rear, good depth of body, strong in loin with well muscled hindquarters to give sound, free movement. I was pleased to make him Best Dog and awarded him the Dog Challenge Certificate - his first I believe. 2 Ritchie’s Sh Ch Ir Ch Gwendariff Dom Perignon. Another beautiful dog of excellent breed type and very racy. Now six years old shown in full coat and presented to perfection, has all the attributes of a Champion. Just preferred the overall type, finish and movement of the first. 3 Myer’s Sh Ch Astrazone Special Brew. JW SHCM

MPB. (5). 1. Hinslea’s, Northamber Causin a Riot. Raised brows and low set ears. Good reach of neck and depth of chest. Tight elbows. Nice bend of stifle and good tailset. 2. Bayne’s, Corranroo Mystic River. Almond eye, low ears and chiselling. Mature, good spring of rib, tailset and bend of stifle. Not quite the depth of chest and therefore not as tight in elbows as winner yet. 3. Risdon’s, Reddins Essence of Redsleeves.

PB. (10). 1. Holley’s, Danaway Briana of Wynjill. Lovely head, dark eye with raised brows. Good reach of neck and slope of shoulders. Deep chest. BP. 2. Powis’s, Amberwave Freckles. Dark almond eye. Straight front. Lovely neck and slope of shoulders. Good bend of stifle. Again chest needs to drop down. 3. Hinslea’s, Northamber Causin a Riot.

JB. (11). 1. Spence’s, Springle Suavita. Dark almond eye with low set ears, chiselled feminine head. Balanced with good depth and bend of stifle. 2. Willis’s, Jacwilins Miss Dashwood. Dark almond eye, raised brows and low set ears. Mature, good depth of body and tailset. 3. Sturrock’s, Forfarian Mama Mia.

YB. (14). 1. Heron’s, Caskeys Happy Hour JW. Beautiful soft expression, chiselled head with low set ears and dark almond eyes. Good depth of chest. Compact, balanced with good tailset and bend of stifle. 2. King’s, Kirkavagh Primera JW. A close decision. Good length of neck into sloping shoulders. Good depth of chest and bend of stifle. Low set ears and dark eyes. Just preferred overall skull and expression of the winner. 3. Powis’s, Amberwave Blush.

DEBUT B (9). 1. Pallister’s, Penwyn Maid in Manhattan. Pretty head with dark almond eyes, chiselling and low set ears. Good depth and slope of shoulders. Good bend of stifle. Balanced and well feathered to complete the picture. 2. Curtis's, Wyldfire Colleen. Low set ears and dark eyes but plainer head. Lovely neck and shoulders. Longer in body. Good tailset. 3. Risdon’s, Reddins Destiny with Redsleeves.

GB. (7). 1. Townsend’s, Follidown Wisteria. Pretty head with low set ears and almond eyes. Good slope of shoulder into sloping topline and tailset. Good bend of stifle. 2. Box’s, Fernstart Irish Rhapsody. Another close decision. Sweet expression with raised brows. Lovely outline, neck and shoulders. Good bend of stifle. On the day winner moved better. 3. Nevitt’s, Romarne Jessica JW.

PGB. (18). 1. Watt’s, Shenanagin Shooting Star. Showy little bitch in lovely coat and condition. Chiselled head, dark almond eye and low ears (flies them on the move). Compact balanced, moves with drive. 2. Gurney’s, Danaway Isadora. Lovely elegant outline with graceful neck and shoulders. Good bend of stifle and tailset. Sweet head. Just not the coat and condition of winner. 3. Powis’s, Amberwave Truffle JW.

MidLB. (6). 1. Ickersgill’s, Barleydale Lulu with Maorlruadhan. Nice in outline. Good arched neck and laid back shoulders. Low set ears, dark eyes and sweet expression. In good coat. Well feathered. 2. Pollard’s, Grayrigge Mairona JW. Heavier bitch. Good neck and shoulders into sloping topline and tailset. Dark eyes and low set ears but preferred expression of winner. 3. Stephenson’s, Lyngor Wisdom.

LB. (10). 1. King’s, Kirkavagh Jumilla JW. Won this class as soon as she walked into the ring. Classy bitch. Lovely coat and condition. Sweet expression. Good length of neck, bend of stifle and tailset. A great outline. RCC. 2. Spence’s, Springle Selene. Another elegant bitch. Lovely neck and shoulders. Feminine head. Good bend of stifle. Just lacking coat and tailset of the winner. 3. Smith’s, Waterdown Kesmit JW.

OB. (9). 1. Powis’s, Sh Ch. Amberwave Spangle JW. What a beautiful head, oval shape skull from ear to ear, raised brows, dark eyes sand low set ears. Lovely elegant neck and shoulders. Sloping topline into correct tailset. Good bend of stifle. Moved with drive. Unfortunately lacking her best coat on the day but won the ticket on the Irish elegance and drive. CC. 2. McLarnon’s, Northamber Baccarat via Kerryfair JW. This bitch was in good coat and well feathered. Has low set ears and dark eyes. Good reach of neck and slope to shoulders. Longer in body than winner. Good tail set and bend of stifle. 3. Rance and Oakley’s, Caspians Modesty JW.
