Three Counties 2006
A tremendous entry, thank you, the quality in some classes
was so strong that I wished I had two sets of cards. On the minus side I was
very concerned by the number of exhibits who appeared to have entropion.
Breeders must be vigilant and honest with themselves and each other about this
condition which I fear is starting to become a problem embedded within the
breed. On the positive side I was delighted with the temperaments, many dogs and
bitches tried their best to bribe their way into the cards by plying me with
kisses " demonstratively affectionate " is certainly a strong breed
characteristic
MPD (5:3 abs) 1 Lee’s Caispern Mr Rochester. Promising baby boy with pleasing
head and expression, well balanced with good depth of chest and well angulated
hind quarters. Rather unsettled on the move which is to be expected at this age.
2 Cohen’s Caispern Vilette with Shushana. Litter brother to 1 and very similar,
just not quite the depth of chest as one at present, but I was splitting hairs
between the two of them.
