Irish Setter Club Of Wales Bitches

Generally, an entry of pleasing quality becoming particularly strong in the later classes. However, it was disturbing to find several bites which were uneven and/or level, and one puppy which was fully undershot. Also there appears to be a tendency towards a shorter rib cage and a longer weak loin, certainly not the "well sprung chest carried well back to muscular loin" described in the standard, and as seen previously in the breed.

Minor Puppy Bitch (14, 4a)

  1. Evans GOLDINGS CARENZA a pretty 7 month old with good head and eye shape, sound front, well balanced, good stifles, moved well

  2. Coyne CAISPERN MISS MORLAND stylish youngster with lovely head and dark eye, neat shoulders, showed and moved well

  2. Cowell DAWNGLO FANTASIA a little lacking in foreface and upright in forearm which showed in lack of reach when moving, otherwise good body and nice stifles

  3. Stevenson LOCHLORIEN SUNRISE, a lovely bitch with a pretty head and good shoulders and stifles, a great pity she did not move well

Junior (10, 1a)
