South Of England Irish Setter Club Open Show 2004 (Worplesdon)

On
Sunday 27th June I was honoured to judge the
South Of England Irish Setter Club’s open show. We had lovely
bright, sunny weather with a brisk breeze which was ideal
for showing off the coats of our lovely breed.
Unfortunately
there were a large number of absentees, but the overall
quality of the dogs present was extremely high. This made my job
more difficult as there were some very close decisions, but
can only be good for the breed. Best In Show was
Ward’s Three Rivers From Kerryfair who at seven years of
age was also best veteran.
Reserve best in show was Richardson’s Sh Ch
Kirkavagh Fidalgo JW, best opposite sex was Boutell &
Humphrey’s Ixia Isadora and best puppy was Oakley’s
Caspians Mehitabel.
