It was great  honour to be invited to judge at  this breed club show.  

It was a very well run show, and my special thanks must go to my two ring-stewards for their very helpful assistance. The excellent hospitality provided by the club was most enjoyable.  

In general I thought that heads could be improved. Where were those sweet and kind expressions I remembered so well when I last judged in the UK ?. I also found the prevalence of bad shoulder placements and sloping croups very worrying.  

However, I am pleased to report that there were still enough very good dogs to pick from to select my class winners and the first three placings.  

Veteran Dog
