This is my last poem until at least the first game of next season as I am entering hospital in a couple of days' time for major heart surgery and I will be out of action for some time.

I am pleased to let you know that I finally feel well enough to re-start writing my poems although I don't know how long I will be able to do so as I require to enter hospital at some stage - hopefully in the near future - for heart surgery, which will put me out of action for some considerable time, I would imagine. However, do rest assured, I fully intend to be back as quickly as possible thereafter.

The Boro Bard.

Some of you maybe wondering why there has been no poem relating to the last two Boro matches. The reason is that The Boro Bard was rushed into hospital last week before the game in Spain with what turned out to be some sort of stroke. He is now back home and recovering well. However, there will be some little delay in recommencing the writing and it will certainly not be in time for Boro's next game against Manchester City. Hopefully it will not be too long.
