2008 Event (31st May to 1st June) Glasgow

 Welcome to the Schiltron Homepage

Schiltron is a 15mm war games tournament. Held at a Local Guide Hall at Pendicle Road, Bearsden, Glasgow G61 is the venue of Schiltron '08.  We hope to have a special guest this year as our UMPIRE.

I have been playing DBM for over 14 years, and have played in DBM tournaments from Britcon, Scottish Open, BHGS Challenge, Muster & Celtic Cup. This competition will hopefully live up to the high standard set by the other BHGS Competitions.  

The entry level is set at £20 per person on submission of army lists. Please check out the Rules section for the FOG & DBMM  rules for the competition. To join in with other players for this two day event on 31st May to 1st June. just click Join and fill in the form.

28.05.08  NEWS UPDATE  - Prizes almost completed, FOG army lists being checked. DBMM side Completed. See you all on Saturday

25.05.08  NEWS UPDATE  - Tables booked, Prizes Painted, Engraving Done, Admin duties almost complete.  See you all within the week.
13.05.08  NEWS UPDATE  - More people Registering, awaiting for 2 more DBMM players to run competition. Started work on prizes today.
12.05.08  NEWS UPDATE  - Players entry coming in. This Friday will make final decision on the DBMM comp as not enough players yet. Prizes being made up from today.
28.04.08  NEWS UPDATE  - DBMM Umpire & List Checker. FOG List checker still looking for someone to help me out. Tables booked, Hall booked, and still only me registered. Can I ask that if you are coming to Registered soon than later, Army list's should be sent to me no later than 18th May 2008.

21.01.08 NEWS UPDATE - Dear All,  I would like to take the time and thank you all for supporting Schiltron for the last 2 years. However this year the competition is being moved to June or July. I am awaiting for the owners of the hall to come to me with a date. Due to the ever expanding rules to 3 major sets DBM3.1, DBMM & FOG. I am going to offer at this moment the 3 comps at Schiltron. However with the split to 3 rules I will require X Players to be in each period. Could I ask that you submit to myself at george.dick@ntlworld.com with which period you would like. The reason for this is to gauge the interest in players from January 2008 to April 2008. Which at the end of April I will be able to full state which rule sets I will be running. 26.03.07 NEWS UPDATE - Due to the INN being very busy, I have booked 15 places. These seats will not have the full menu, and it will be a selected menu. I have chosen some of the items on this sheet, mainly Baked Potatoes, Wraps, and Baguettes etc. Click HERE to see menu.
24.03.07 NEWS UPDATE - Almost everyone has a valid army list now. Click HERE to see menu for the local bar called the Inn.
19.03.07 NEWS UPDATE - Add more armies which have passed the checking. I will post a menu from The INN, the local bar here very soon. I hope to have all armies ready to post on site very soon. Also some photo's of the prizes and my special raffle prize very soon..
13.03.07 - NEWS UPDATE, All paper army lists checked today, awaiting more info on email army lists. Need one more player to make it even if you know anyone please get them to call me on the number above.

11.03.07 - NEWS UPDATE, We have 33 players if anyone knows of one more player please contact them. Trophies arriving this week, painted Prizes, just needing laptop and printer for day. Tables ordered and all coming to a close. Not long till we all meet.
