Thursday 7th Feb 2008.
The website at ...... is running approximately 1 week late!
An apology ..... Due to the sudden death of my Granda last Friday, I've not updated this site for a while. I will try and get back on with it - but I'm in between Manchester & Newcastle a lot at the mo - so bear with me. Failing that, Big Chris can manage things!

A message for us all.
Football's irrelevant! Road safety isn't! You tell him Kev!
Imagine this in today's world ... the little kid would turn round, give him the V's then probably lob a brick through his Range Rover as he drove off!

ARSE WIPES!

3-0 again.
If you listened to Big Chris's advice, you'll be 50p down by now. If you followed my prediction, you'll be wrong. It was worse.
The best thing about this match (I think) was that I was able to watch it live - thanks to Jeff's top tips in the message board. So, settling down and after 5mins of buffering, we're ready to go. Started off well enough with neither team dominating possession. Took me about 10mins to realise the commentary is in Chinese and not just some bloke talking fast though!
After 20mins, and still no goals, Chris from Number 9 arrived at my front door (not to be confused with Big Chris the bookie). After showing him the new found 'Live' premiership games, it was back to the screen.
Arsenal passed the ball round amazingly well, almost bypassing our midfield and on 40mins, Flamin('eck)i crossed for Adebayor to head home. At this stage, Tony from next door arrived! Tony was impressed with the 'live' view - but not so much the action as we did nowt up until halftime.
Half time was spent looking at Tony's new car (Ford Focus - very nice). Should do nicely for ferrying the lads to the pub quiz when it's raining!!!
Second half was much the same - Arsenal passed it about, we had possession but did nowt with it. Only really reportable incidents were the speed Tony drank his pint and also Barton coming on.
Flamin 'eck scored a cracker in the 72nd minute and Fabregas made it 3 a few mins later!
Butt was unlucky with a free kick afterwards, hitting in the bar. But on the whole, we did nowt to deserve a win and didn't get one.
Cracking match report eh? Reet, I'm off. The wife's taped CSI for us. Cheers.

And he does music too ...
With the return of King Kevin and the legendary “Walking in a Keegan Wonderland” song, the top toon chants were fondly remembered whilst watching the match the other week. The ones with the movements are the best especially when standing in a cold away ground.
In at number 3 is “Oh-Shola-Ameobi”
A new comer at number 2 is “Keano wanks his dog” It has to be done with the hand gesture in the air though PLEASE NOTE - BAD LANGUAGE !
Number 1 is the classic “Shoes off if you love the toon”
Big thanks to the Big Man for these!

Monday 28th January.
Rumours knocking about today that the toon are going to sign Dennis wise in some sort of coaching role. Wonder when the other 6 will arrive ;-)

Still Sunday .... but coming soon ...
Coming soon to Northwest Mags, Big Chris's 50p bets. He loses money every week, but he's always close! Now you too can join in the fun. Will you stake your 50p on Taylor to score first ? Will you try Owen for the first goal and a five nil win? Or will you go for the classic 2-1 toon win? YOU decide.
Big Chris will guide you
through your options with his hot tips (ooer) of the week.

Sunday 27 Jan 2008.

It was always gonna happen. Just a matter of finding the time. But now it's a reality.
NORTHWESTMAGS.CO.UK has returned! Like a phoenix from the flames.
Following an absence of several years, we have decided to revive the site. If Keegan can come back, so can we! So, for those of you not fortunate enough to stumble upon this site in the beginning, here's a brief synopsis ...
Northwestmags - basically a supporters club, website, message board for all Newcastle United fans based in the North West of England. By getting this site up and running, we can hopefully meet for matches, drinks, swap travel and ticket info and generally talk about the toon.
At this stage, the site is very much in development, but the message board should be active, so please pop in and say hallo.
Watch this space for more toon news!
Cheers
Anth.
PS - this site is not gonna give you up to the minute news on transfers, takeovers, etc. For that, we direct you to the excellent www.nufc.com . You're more likely to get a story about the pies at the ground here. That or an in depth account of how KK once signed my shirt :-)
Please check back soon!
