Butters

I have quite a lot of information on this surname in Lincolnshire, including census and parish register extracts. I also have details of several smaller family trees which do not link into my own. If you are interested in Butters in Lincolnshire I can search my database to see if I have any information that you may be interested in and exchange it for any information that you have. Some variations on the name are Butter and Booter(s), it is often confused with Butler.

Earp

We have quite a large Earp family tree, and thanks go to Ronnie & Pauline Earp (and Sammy) for their help with this line, their web-site can be viewed at http://www.oundle50.freeserve.co.uk/

Fennell

Martha Ann Fennell was born about 1842 and died in 1888 in the Camberwell workhouse in Surrey, she was born in Cheshire but I have been unable to find out any more about her and would dearly love to know some details.

Gash

My Gash database is growing and I have Lincolnshire census returns and parish register extracts for this surname. If you would like to exchange information then please e-mail me. (It can be confused with Gask, Gasse or Cash)

Gibbs

Dorcas Fenella Gibbs (not a name you will forget if you have come across it before) she was my great grandmother and was born in Lambeth, Surrey in 1883. The Gibbs family originated in Gloucestershire and ended up in Arlesey, Bedfordshire stopping off in London along the way. I would love to find out more about her, and her father Aaron Gibbs who by all accounts was an old devil!

Greatbatch

The Greatbatch family tree is expanding and I would like to thank Tony Greatbatch for his invaluable help with the early part of this tree. I would love to hear from anyone with Greatbatch connections in Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire.

Holdsworth

We are looking for the birth of Robert Holdsworth who we think was born in about 1858 in Leeds, his parents may have been Joseph and Mary.

Also searching for any descendants of Robert Holdsworth (born 1885) and Lilian Oakes (born 1888) They married in 1908 at Seaforth and had 8 children - Lilian, Robert, Mary, George, Harold, Albert, Noel and Alan.

Jollands

Jollands descendants are making contact and we have a large family tree with connections all over the world. I have a lot of Lincolnshire census and parish register information for this name, so if you think there may be a connection then get in touch!

Mackinder

We are sure that most of the Lincolnshire Mackinders are related and are trying to connect up as many of them as possible, so if you have a Mackinder in your family tree we may be able to fit you in. I have census information etc. if you think there may be a connection.

Pett

The Pett family led me a merry dance until I discovered that great great grandfather had knocked 12 years off his age in 1891 (he must have been a youthful looking 40 year old!). As a result of searching for him I have census information for the name Pett in Lincolnshire. Variations are Peet and Peat (possibly also Pitt, although I have not come across this in my line).

Rose

Hephzibah Matilda Rose (another memorable name!) was born in 1874 at Sheerness in Kent, the daughter of William Rose and Mary Hephzibah (nee Whittingham). William Rose was born in about 1833 in St John's, New Brunswick, Canada but I have been unable to find any details - can anyone out there help?

Smith

I am desperately looking for George Smith (that's it have a good laugh!), he was in the 4th Battalion of the Royal Artillery in 1838 when his son Adam George Smith was born at Weedon Beck in Northamptonshire. The family may then have moved to Woolwich before 1863 where Adam George's son - John Henry George Smith - was born. Adam George was a foreman at the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich in 1881.

George Smith may have been born about 1809 in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Whitney

I am looking for the baptism of Solomon Whitney in about 1760, he married Ann Rice at Milton Ernest in Bedfordshire in 1786 when he was described as a widower.
