Why
Puppets
The world of the puppet is simple and childlike
and gives us a focus on our inner motives and those
parts of our character we try to hide from ourselves.
As we watch the puppets they disarm our defence
mechanisms and we begin to see again that childlike
simplicity of life and motive. Our view of life is
brought back to basics and we begin to see ourselves
as we really are.
The charm of the puppet enables us to set aside
our problems and join them in their world. As we
enter their world we begin to sympathise with them in
their problems and our feelings become engaged in the
story they are portraying. As this happens we get
ourselves involved both intellectually and
emotionally. Once we are part of the story, the
message of the story reaches us at every level of our
being and the moral or point of the story is
communicated. As we leave the puppets and go about
our daily life we begin to think about the puppets
and apply their message to our daily lives and past
experiences.
As you can see from the above, the message of
puppets is difficult to ignore. It reaches into our
personality and says 'hey what about this issue? What
about that motive?' As we give time to the issues
raised by the puppets, we find that it is not the
puppets which are holding our attention to the issues
but ourselves.
Truth2tell puppets convey the universal truths and
stories from the Bible in an entertaining,
enthusiastic yet gentle way. We are available for
Christian outreaches, Children's events, Church or
Christian parties, Church fairs, Sole Performances
and other events. We also provide training and
workshops to encourage and facilitate Christian
workers and Children's ministries.
