Our statement of faith

We believe . . .

1. The Bible is the written word of God, is the final authority in all matters of Faith and doctrine, and has been given by God so that believers are able to tell what is true and what is counterfeit.
2. That the Bible is made up of the Old and New Testaments and does not include apocryphal writings, the book of Mormon or any other writings.
3. That there is only one God who is three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three separate persons yet paradoxically one person.
4. Heaven and Hell are real.
5. Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God. Completely God and completely human.
6. Jesus mother was a virgin (until after he was born) and He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit.
7. Jesus Christ lived without committing sin.
8. Jesus Christ Died on the Cross by both Jewish and Gentile hands, by taking the sin of everyone upon himself.
9. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for all human sin, for all time.
10. That death could not hold Jesus Christ and so He won the victory over death and was resurrected three days after His crucifixion.
11. The way to peace with God and freedom from our own personal sin can only be found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
12. Those who will not commit their lives to Jesus Christ cannot receive his forgiveness (because it is an act of human refusal) and therefore will be sent to Hell for all eternity.
13. God want's all people to receive Jesus Christ into their lives as both Lord and Saviour.
14. God has sent His Holy Spirit to be a comforter and shows his presence by miraculous works such as speaking in a new (unlearned) language(s), healing, miracles, prophecy and gifts of knowledge.
15. Jesus Christ is the messiah of Israel and that he came to fulfil that which was written in the Old Testament by bringing salvation to both Jew and Gentile.
16. All who have received Jesus Christ into their lives and are empowered by the Holy Spirit have complete victory over sin. They have all of Christ's authority and are able to use that authority according to God's word and their faith.
17. Israel is the apple of God's eye, and anyone who stands against Israel or the Church stands against God Himself.
18. The Earth and all the creatures within it were created by God's word as recorded in Genesis chapters 1 and 2.
19. All Christians are called to share the above with all unbelievers in accordance with the Great Commission.
