| On Saturday 11th December 2004 Geoff Bessant and Gareth Tilleke
paid a visit to Tylney Hall in
Hamsphire to spend a day with Volvo Cars
UK driving a few of their cars as part of the
Freedom Test Drive
Programme. We had booked to drive a V50 T5 Auto at 11:30 and a XC90 D5 Auto
at 13:00. We arrived early and ended up driving 7 different cars and also had
ride with a professional Volvo driver in an S60 who demonstrated Volvo's Four-C
Chassis and DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction control). The total on the
road cost of the cars driven is approximately £206,500 ! ! ! Car of the
day: Geoff - V50 T5 Auto & Gareth - XC90 T6 Auto. Finally, the weather condtions were bad - very foggy which did limit the extent of our test drives - however we both had a great day out, so thank you Volvo who really did look after us so well. |
