Here’s a short summary of my son Johnathan. He has been football training with various team starting at “The Poppies” when he was 4 years old. He then took courses with “The Diamonds” and now, at 9 years old, he is at “The Cobblers” (no its true!). He has also been with Kettering Generals for the past 2+ years which he has enjoyed some great training and made many friends. He has now joined Weekley Rovers and is really enjoying playing again. Unfortunately last year we found he had a very rare kidney condition which nearly cost him his life. He spent 3 months in Leicester Royal Infirmary and had 3 operations and recovered remarkably well to regain full fitness and return to his beloved football. He had many people to thank for this ,none more so than the brilliant surgeon that performed these operations, Mr Ninan. He also had visits and letters from many people including Alex Ferguson, Micky Adams and the Leicester squad, Martin Johnson and the Leicester Tigers some of whom still keep in touch on occasion. On leaving hospital he wanted to raise money for the National Kidney Research Fund which he did by doing 91 keepie ups in 1 minute (you try it). Mr Ninan (the surgeon) was so impressed with Johns recovery that he wants Johnathan to front a charity he is starting which would be a great honour. Unfortunately we also find that Johnathan will need another operation this year but he will soon be back.

He has created his own webpage which he wrote all himself (so don’t blame me)….find it by clicking Johns Web Page
