GARY CHANDLER
GGary was introduced to endurance karting by the 'Guvnor' in the summer of 1998 during a corporate karting event at Daytona Milton Keynes. After equipping himself well he was invited to join the Guvnor's 'Javelin Racing Team #40' to contest the Daytona ProKart Endurance Series. In 1999 we finished a credible 3rd in the Clubman Championship. We decided to compete in the British Endurance Kart Championship for 2001. After an enjoyable foray with the big boys & all the travelling around the country we decided to go back to our roots for 2002 with the Daytona Championship, but to also compete in the prestigious Le Mans 24hr ProKart race. A fantastic 2nd in class followed so we knew that we would have to go back in 2003 to try & move up that extra place. Alas even though we completed more laps we were pipped yet again & had to settle for 2nd. 'One Day!"

Having had the ProMax since 2002 but struggling to find time to race it, we had to decide which direction to place our energies behind for 2004. After a couple of test sessions and guest appearances at the Daytona Open races we were all hooked. ProMaxing it is then.

Gary's main duties are tyre preparation (guess work to those in the know!) & helping the Guvnor set up the kart before every race.
