Nicky Miller was born in Cwmbwrla, Swansea and at the tender age of "12 months" moved to Pentrechwyth until his marriage to his devoted wife Eileen at the age of 21yrs. He is now a resident of St Iltydd's Crescent; St Thomas where he has lived since his wedding day.

He was the unique distinction of being the first Captain of "Bonymaen Colts" back in 1974 when they were officially entered into the Swansea Senior League Division Four by their founder and his brother-in-law Reggie Dennis.

Nicky had played for Bonymaen at U/18 level but then joined Ragged School and helped them through the Swansea Senior League from Division Five to the top of Division 1, before being persuaded by the "family" to return to his native Bonymaen.

He again set out in his quest to the top, only this time with a very youthful Bonymaen Colts and helped them to Division 2 before a broken leg finished his playing career at a young age of 29 years.

He then decided to take up the Managerial Reigns for his Post Office Works Teams in the Swansea Senior Thursday League - and the Inter Post Office National competitions along with coaching his young son Damien who played for Kilvey Juniors. All of which were hugely successful and satisfying to the "First Captain".

These days not being so energetic he devotes his time to his beloved "Bowls" where again his determination has amounted to him gaining major titles as Welsh Post Office Singles Champion in 1993 & 1995 along with British Civil Service Titles in 1996 as both Pairs and Singles Champion.
