Sandra became a volunteer two years ago, working in the office doing clerical and telephone duties. Michael her husband soon followed as a volunteer driver and gardener.

They met whilst working together as cartographers in the Civil Service. Married for 43 years, they moved from London to Swansea in 1974 and live in Dunvant with their cat, Jaffa.

Nearby live their daughter Gillian, son-in-law David and grandchildren Charlotte and Nathan. Now both retired, shard hobbies include gardening, books, music and travel. Michael is a dedicated steam train enthusiast and is also a volunteer on the Swansea Vale Railway.
