Maureen has worked in The Lodge for 2˝ years on Mondays and Friday afternoons. Her rôle in The Lodge is administration and helping Ieuan with finance. She also helps with the telephone and anything that needs doing!

Maureen says she likes working at The Lodge because everyone is friendly and there is a good working atmosphere. She first had contact with The Lodge when she was a Carer for her father and was encouraged to come to Carers' meetings by Andy Capel.

Before she retired, Maureen worked in administration for British Steel. She has three children and one grandson who she looks after two days a week. She is originally from Lytham, St. Anne's.

Maureen enjoys gardening, knitting, sewing, and collecting "junk" e.g. china and porcelain from charity shops. Maureen's dream is to sail to New Zealand!

Finally, her claim to fame is that she has met Emlyn Hughes and John Toshak. Also Les Dawson used to live near her in a mansion complete with helicopter!
