Lynne Rhodes has worked at The Lodge for three years. She works on a Monday from 9.30am - 3.30pm and is responsible for admin and the helpline. Lynne has a lot of experience with telephones as she worked for BT for 30 years!

Lynne enjoys working at The Lodge and says the volunteers are very friendly. She was a Carer herself for 10 years and feels she is giving something back for the wonerful help she had when looking after her mother. When she's not at The Lodge, she works at Cwmfelin Pharmacy. Lynne says it was her experience at The Lodge that has given her the confidence to work in the pharmacy. Furthermore, she has learned new skills while at The Lodge, in particular, computer skills.

Lynne has been married for 27 years and lives in Manselton. She collects china and antiques with a particular interest in Renee Lalique and Carnival Glass. Her ambition is to own a Tiffany lamp!

Lynne's claim to fame is that she met Gareth Edwards' brother at Perivale Restaurant! She also met John Charles in the Brangwyn Hall. Finally, footage of her playing tennis in Mumbles wearing her husband's boxer shorts was shown in a BBC documentary, "Tales of a City"!
