Des joined the Branch as a volunteer driver some 2 years ago, but was soon recruited into the office. Amongst the projects he's been entrusted with - as well as continuing to do some driving - is to administer the Risk Assessment carried out at patients' homes, assisting Hywel in his sterling fundraising efforts and more recently arranging the Awareness Week activities for the Branch. His business career has been in selling, progresing into Sales Management with a leading healthcare company.

His hobbies are DIY, Gardening, Golf, and being a keen rugby follower of Llanelli RFC, having been a member for many years.

He is married to Rosalie - another volunteer at the Branch - they have two sons and have lived in Loughor since they married 36 years ago.
