Anne retired in June 2000 and saw a poster in her church asking for volunteers at The Lodge. She applied and started at The Lodge in August 2000. After a few weeks training, Anne started to cover Tuesday afternoon with Pauline Littler and Audrey Bowen. She also helps to arrange the Day Trips organised by The Lodge.

Anne married Ken in 1958 after getting to know each other through attending the same church. He was Deputy Mayor of Swansea 1974/1975 and Anne was Deputy Mayoress with him, which she enjoyed immensely, meeting all classes of people.

If you see a cream and green Robin Reliant around the area, this belongs to Ken! This is the fifth three-wheeler that they have had and they have travelled all over Wales and the West Country in them.
