What made you get into CG modelling?

Well in the main, I was making short films (for my personal enjoyment, you understand), and desired movie style effects, so it was necessary to achieve such ends. But overall, I’ve tried my hand at every art form, just about, so it was bound to crop up sometime. However, having no artistic talents whatsoever, the technical approach that cgi requires has enabled me to get out what is in my head to a far more satisfactory level, making it where I have eventually settled.

How long have you been doing CG modelling for?

3 years

Whom do you draw inspiration from?

Of course, my environment. I like sci-fi movies, and horrors, and Spielberg, and Nirvana, and Beethoven, and so on like anyone, so from all the usual modern avenues there is undoubtedly influence. Inspiration, however, comes from my exploration of myself, my past, my interactions with others, and my drug experiences.

What is one of your top tips you could give to a fellow enthusiast?

I don’t consider myself an enthusiast. To be honest I have little interest in CGI. What interests me is the final product only. For me it’s not about enjoying a particular discipline, or finding a certain way of working. I am driven solely my souls desperate need to express itself, in any manner it can. So with that in mind, my answer would be this;

Imagine that it is your day of judgement, and the creator is looking into the deepest recesses of your heart, and then in all things you do try to furnish your heart with the things you would wish him to see.

What project/s are you currently working on at this present time?

My film, Jerico. It is a very personal project, and in it I have finally found a vehicle to express all of the things about myself that I am unable to vocalise in any coherent manner.

When you get a creative block, how do bounce back?

Well, take a break and a breather, that’s number one. But after the pulse has slowed I find that I can usually get my ball rolling again by either beating myself about the head, or by consuming more drugs.
