I have worked on developing localised / sustainable and localised food supply systems for over 4 years. Areas of expertise include:

•  Sustainable food supply chain development, analysis and visualisation
•  Public sector food including schools, hospitals, first tier suppliers and initiatives around the UK
•  Food in the Yorkshire and Humber region
•  Developing and supporting local food outlets, social enterprises, networks and projects
•  Writing and communications - reports, case studies, promotion, design
•  Food related policy analysis - local, regional, national
•  Developing local markets for 'ethnic' foods
•  Research - desk based and action research - qualitatively oriented, focussing on listening to people and working to understand their perspectives and concerns

Photos
I have built up a small photo library. While I have no ideas of the technical aspects of photography sometimes 'point and click' with a simple digital camera can result in some OK photos. I have no idea of focus, aperture, exposure etc. so it's just real food and some nice interactions between people through being quietly in the background. photo gallery

More information including information about some organisations / projects I have worked with, presentations and papers will be posted on this website shortly. The food system, and how it is conceptualised, are all immensely complex and multi-dimensional so I am writing an article outlining my perspective.
