A Cynical View of Life
I have already written my autobiography for the first twenty-seven years of my life, and the rest is promised when all the people in it are dead, except me. But from time to time little incidents occur, some ridiculous, some hysterical, or emotional, which have prompted a page to themselves.
I also tend to hold my opinions fairly strongly. Many of my complaints are not complaints, but efforts to explain to my peers how we could do it better. Many of my beliefs appear in letters to editors, others get jotted down for better use at some later date. Still others are written out to help me feel better.
The items below illustrate these various aspects of life with me.
Breaking into America, or experiences of a border jumper
Elections - must we still behave as though not even the abacus had been invented?
Holiday with stress, or why do we subject ourselves to it?
Henry Scroggie's Wife A cautionary tale about the National Health Service
