By rail (my preffered route):
The nearest station is (surprise!) Nottingham. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk from there to the Ice Stadium, as follows: Turn right out of the station into Carrington Street, and proceed to the traffic lights at the end, You will see Broad Marsh Bus Station in front of you. Cross the road & walk past the Bus Station to the next traffic lights. Cross the road & turn right & walk past all the bus stops to the end of the road, then turn left into Middle Hill. Walk up the hill & cross the road at the pedestrian crossing then carry on in the same direction & take the next right into Pilcher Gate. At the end of Pilcher Gate turn right then left into Broadway. Turn left into Stoney Street then the next right into Barker Gate, walk to the end & you will see the NIC Barker Gate entrance & the Old Cricket Players pub in front of you. This entrance is for ticket holders only until the second Rink is finished. Non ticket holders should turn right down Bellar Gate to the next pedestrian crossing, cross over then take the next left into Fisher Gate. Follow the road to the next traffic lights, turn left & the Lower Parliament Street entrance is 200 yds on the left.
By bus:
Long-distance bus services arrive at the Broad Marsh bus station, which is near the railway station. As you leave the bus station on foot, you can turn right towards the Broad Marsh Centre and the city centre, or left towards the railway station; turn left, and proceed to the traffic lights. This is the junction of Carrington Street and Canal Street, referred to in the directions above; as you are approaching it from the opposite side, you need to turn left, not right, along Canal Street, and then follow those directions. By car (from the M1): If coming from the South, leave the motorway at junction 25, and follow the A52 towards Nottingham; if from the North, leave at junction 26, and follow the A610 towards Nottingham. Either route brings you eventually up the hill to Canning Circus, and then into Wollaton Street, which is the first one-way street you (should) have encountered. At the first set of traffic lights, bear right into Tollhouse Hill, which takes you down (still one-way) under an office-block bridge and to a roundabout. Take the 2nd exit, which is a dual carriageway called Maid Marian Way. Go straight across the Friar Lane roundabout, and the road then bears left, under the Broad Marsh Centre car park, and into Collin Street (one-way). At the other end of Collin Street, follow the main flow of traffic round to the right, and then to the left. You are now in Canal Street. Follow this street until you come to a big roundabout. Cross to the left-hand side of Canal Street, and continue, bearing left up Hollowstone and Bellar Gate. As you come to the traffic lights at the top of Bellar Gate, the back of the Ice Stadium is on your right. You can't turn right at the lights towards the front of the Ice Stadium, since Barker Gate is one-way the other way: instead, go straight across, past the ten-pin bowling centre, and turn right at each of the next three sets of lights. You should now be in Barker Gate, and if you are the Ice Stadium is on your left. There is a car park in front of the Ice Stadium, but it is very small indeed and you will be extremely lucky to find a space, so allow some time to find somewhere to park.

By rail (alternative route):
