There is only one God (Deut. 6:4; 9:3; 20:4; Josh. 22:22; Judg. 5:5; Ps. 50:1; 71:22; 113:5; Mk. 12:29, 32; Rom. 3:30; 1 Cor. 8:4, 6; Gal. 3:20; Eph. 4:6; 1 Tim. 2:5; Jas. 2:19).
The Trinity is one God existing in three persons. He is not three gods! In Gen. 1:1, the Hebrew plural noun "Elohim" is used. In Gen. 1:26, 3:22, 11:7 and Is. 6:8, the pronoun “us” is used. The word "Elohim" and the pronoun “us” in the Hebrew are plural forms, not duals, so they definitely refer to more than two. They denote an aspect of plurality in God.

The individual members of the Trinity have different tasks. The Father is the ultimate source, initiator or cause of the universe. He does everything through His Son, who functions as His agent, and He does all these things by the power of His Holy Spirit:
