Bro Derek shares a thought with Bro John Harper
Bro Bernard Alcock ROH.
Bro Bernie was a staunch member of our lodge, known locally in our lodge at Judge Jefferies, he made sure that when justice was to be seen to be done, no Brother escaped his wrath.
Probably an old photograph of Bro Craig.
This picture was taken quite a few years ago - you can probably tell due to the tash that he tried to grow - He's been advised that he looked like Freddy Mercury - what do you think?
A photo of Bro John taken a fair few years ago - at the time he was a first degree brother, however after passing the Examining Council, he's now a Primo and proudly wears his second degree jewel with pride.
Bro Wilf Hinwood, probably one of the oldest members of the Cross Lodge moved away to Oxfordshire many years ago, however after 40 years of being away from his lodge - that being the Cross - he thought he would try to find out if the lodge was still going and much to his delight it was. Bro Wilf is one of our most respected members of the lodge and we always welcome him back with open arms.
As you will find in explanations on other pages, this is the first of many jewels that are awarded to our members. This is the First Degree Jewel, this allows members to attend Minor Lodges only.
A jewel that needs to be earned. This jewel, known as the Second Degree Jewel or Primo Jewel is awarded to members who have taken the time to read up and learn ceremonies from the Rule Book that each member has and the member bearing such a jewel has the ability to conduct a lodge.
The Third Degree Jewel or Knight of the Order of Merit jewel is a presentation jewel, awarded at the will and pleasure of a Minor Lodge and after serving in full compliance for a number of years. This jewel permits a member to become a member of a Knights Chapter and opens new doors to the bearer of such.
The Fourth Degree Jewel or Roll of Honor Jewel is awarded to members at the will and pleasure of the Minor Lodge who have served a member for a longer period of time than that of a Knight of the Order of Merit. The bearer of this jewel becomes entitled to join the Roll of Honor Assembly which too opens new doors to the member bearing such an honour.
Bro Craig Roberts marries Sister Tracey Harper to not only become a brother of the RAOB to Bro John Harper and Bro Garry Harper, but became Bro Garry's Brother-In-Law.

The lodge invites members of the Wahnerheide Lodge to attend the Provincial Grand Lodge Dinner.
The brethren of the Cross Lodge took great pride in providing local amenties with specialised wheel chairs for the use of the general public with disabilities. Here we see Bro Garry Harper presenting a chair to Assembly Member Rosemary Butler who accepts it on behalf of the Newport City Council.
