Microsoft Excel

Some Thoughts

Excel has been one of the most useful and productive applications I've used in a "Professional" capacity; to be quite honest, it's proven indispensable.

I don't mean to say this at the expense of any other Spread Sheet applications out there, because I've never used anything else, and probably never will (but perhaps I should look into them when I've more time).

In either case, with Excel's native functional capabilities and with a programmatic backend (Visual Basic for Applications), it has proven itself time again.

Excel Capabilities

This section of the web site is intended to expose, what to me, are some of the more useful functions that Excel can provide.

I plan to start out with some techniques that need an intermediate level of experience, then to progress onto some of the more advanced techniques (especially in relation to the usage of VBA), then back track to some more introductory techniques. This all depends, like so much of this site, on the time i have available, but that is my intention at the moment.

The Future

I have developed many Excel Add-In capabilities that span the intermediate and advanced functional capabilities of Excel, so I fully expect they'll all find their way here in the end... watch this space.
