Training with Splash

Training with splash is easy, and we like to think that it is fun, and relaxed. We have several instructors, from those with many years of experience to newly qualified to teach. Basic training is completed in a swimming pool, and later, moves to an inland lake and then to the sea!

Thisis a breakdown of the sections of the first training course, Ocean Diver. Theory Lessons:
The course begins with a series of eight theory lessons, and a theory assessment.

  • INTRODUCTION - OUR BSAC BRANCH/SCHOOL AND OCEAN DIVER TRAINING
  • DIVING EQUIPMENT AND SIGNALS
  • THE BODY AND EFFECTS OF DIVING
  • PLANNING TO GO DIVING
  • GOING DIVING
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF . . . . ?
  • ENJOYING YOUR DIVING
Sheltered Water Lessons:
  • BEING UNDERWATER
  • BASIC SKILLS
  • DEVELOPING SKILLS
  • BEYOND THE BASICS
  • SAFETY SKILLS

Open Water Dives:

Open water dives provide the student with an opportunity to put into practice the theory and practical elements learned in the classroom and sheltered water. In Ocean Diver training, the emphasis is on building a sound foundation of open water diving skill and experience through a series of six open water experience dives supervised by an Instructor.

We have in the club a variety of training equipment, that available to be hired out to our members for a small fee to cover the cost of repairing and servicing it every year.
