Scuba Equipment

Scuba diving requires special equipment. thisis a list of what is needed. The green things are needed first, amber second, and red last. There is also a guide to prices, from basic to top end manufacturers. You need basic equipment early on as possible, mask, fins, snorkel, and weights. in many areas, a knife, whistle, compass and torch are required by law, so these are essential pieces of safety equipment. A wetsuit would be ideally next, followed by the actual scuba unit itself. Other things like computers adn things can really wait until you are more experienced, but if you want one, why not, eh?

MASK + SNORKEL absolutely essential. ignore price, the fit realyl is critical £30 - 60
FINS a must to get comfortable £40 - 150
BOOTS would you wear someone elses boots? £20 - 40
WETSUIT a good fitting wetsuit is very personal, so try to get one £100 - 250
BCD again, great to have, but on hire at most dive sites £150 - 500
WEIGHTS + BELT you do ned to have your own fairly soon £40 - 80
DRYSUIT + LAYERS essential if you want to dive a lot and in thr uk £250 - 1200
REGULATORS you will need your own, but you can usually hire them easily £250 - 1000

BITS AND BOBS there is so much extra to buy, known as 'goodies' where do you start? £ ??????
