To the Glory of God and in Honoured Memory of the Men Connected with This Church & Parish who gave their Lives in the Great War 1914-1918

And in Gratitude to those who were Spared to Return.

Christ Church.  Although it was demolished in the seventies, its foundations stood (next to the Alma Inn now the Renaissance) until the mid 1990's when a block of flats were built on the site.
