1999 
In January 1999 Skoda Octavia WRC enters the World Rally Championship along with five other world-class manufactures. On March 9 Octavia Combi 4WD was introduced at the Motorshow in Geneva, Switzerland. On April 7 new premises of Design Centre, accommodating 160 employees, were opened. On May 6 the bituminous-coal-fired cogeneration station was put in operation to supply the factory with power and heat as well as the city of Mlada Boleslav with district heat. On June 9 Skoda Octavia WRC scored its first world championship point.
2003
In March of 2003, Skoda has been re-launched in the NZ market place through two of the most prestigious locations for purchasing a new car. Giltrap Prestige and Continental Car Services both launch their operations on March 1st.
