1925 - 1929

In the 1920s the necessity to merge the company with a strong industrial partner arose. In 1925 the merger with the Skoda company from Pilsen took place, which meant the end of the Laurin & Klement name.

1930 - 1939

As soon as 1930 Skoda Group Car Manufacturing became autonomous as Skoda-Car industrie joint-stock company. Later, when the Depression subsided, the company managed to fight in the international market with Skoda 420 Popular again.
