Puck Monster (CGL)
This is one of the few games I didn't buy second-hand. It was a birthday present back in about 1982, I think. It was at the beginning of the Game & Watch craze, and I originally wanted G&W Octopus, but when my parents took me to the shop to get it, they persuaded me that this game was better value at about £5 more. (I think Octopus was £19.99 and this was £24.95) I have wanted to get Octopus ever since, and it took me until April 1999 to get it. I had a lot of great fun with this, though. I remember that I used to get so worked up when I was getting a high score, because the game played so fast. I nearly had a fit the first time I completed it (9999 points is the maximum score). My mum stopped me playing it for a while incase my heart gave way!! I still have the box, which I used everytime the game wasn't being played. Unfortunately, after hundreds of times taking the game in and out of the box, it has got a bit tatty! Source: W H Smith, Luton. |
