Mini Soccer

Chaddy End FC Under 7’s, 8’s, 9’s and 10’s play
in the Manchester Youth and Mini Soccer League.

Mini Soccer was introduced in 1994, and made
mandatory for children under the age of ten by the
FA in September 1999. It is now being played and enjoyed
by young children all over the country.

The main benefits of Mini Soccer are:

The game is played with reduced teams on smaller pitches
so the youngsters get more touches of the ball.

All children regardless of age or ability can play and enjoy.
Laws are simplified to maximise the child’s enjoyment.
All the features of the real 11 v 11 game are maintained.
It helps to define realistic targets for children at different ages.
Fair play is developed and encouraged.
