The Amateur Radio Station
When a change in employment, in 1983, required me to move
as
GW8FQF located in Abergele on the North Wales coast.
from ABERGELE (Wales) to ELLESMERE PORT (England) in the county of CHESHIRE, UK.,
the Callsign of the station became
Due to a Road Traffic Accident and
subsequent health problems I retired, early, in 1994.
Operating had ceased in 1988, and did not recommence until August 2000.
Firstly on the 144Mhz and 430Mhz bands, and now in addition on the 50Mhz band.

Above is a map of the U K showing the location of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
The only outside antenna is a vertical 2m Dipole on the chimney stack, this is used for 2m + 70cm,
a 6m vertical quarterwave with ground-plane is fitted in the loft-space.
Station coverage should be greater, once all the antennae are outside.
