I have had an extremely varied life working in many different
situations from being a Fireman in Rotherham County Borough
Fire Brigade, which incidently was also the Rotherham County
Borough Ambulance Service too.
Did my bit in the war serving in the Durham Light Infantry both
in Blighty and abroad in Germany and Austria.
Worked as a Residential Social Worker with the West Riding
County Council, later with Calderdale (Halifax) Social Services.
Took early retirement whilst with Rochdale Social Services
where I was responsible for the running of a number of Homes for
the Elderly.
I am a Radio Amateur, have been for a lot of years now.
Likes and Dislikes
My favourite hobby is jointly Amateur Radio and Computing.
I like Country and Western music, along with selected
classical music.
Watching good films. A good Sunday dinner.
My dislikes are arrogance in others.
Sport.
Tripe (UUUUGH).
And I can't stand to see unfair treatment of anyone.
Apart from those I aint too difficult to please.
