Alinco DJ-S1E frequency expansion
                       =================================

    It  is VERY easy to increase both the receive & transmit frequency range
    of  the DJ-S1E. Open it up as described in the manual and cut the red  &
    blue wires on the bottom right of the display board.

    Cutting  the red wire allows reception of both AM Airband & also FM from
    132-174MHz.  Cutting the blue wire allows similar coverage on TX on  the
    FM only portion.

    To  enable  the mods you will have to reset the rig by powering up  with
    the function key pressed.

    To  switch to the Airband, press call while holding the function  button
    down,  then  press  call to toggle between Air & Amateur  band.  Finally
    press  V/M to return to 'sensible button' mode on the desired band,  ie.
    the lamp works again!
